Website Terms and Conditions of Supply

This page tells you the terms and conditions on which Aurum of Jersey supply any of the products available to buy listed on our website www.aurumjewellers.co.uk.  Please read these terms and conditions carefully and make sure that you understand them, before ordering any Products from our site.  You should understand that by ordering any of our Products, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. 
By placing an order through this website you have accepted the terms and conditions.  Please understand that if you refuse to accept these terms and conditions, you will not be able to order any Products from our site.

Information about us

We operate the website www.aurumjewellers.co.uk. we are Aurum of Jersey, a company registered in Jersey, Channel Islands and with our registered office at 2 Charing Cross, St Helier, Jersey, JE2 3RP.
•  You will be able to access most areas of our website without registering your details with us.
•  You are deemed to place an order with us by ordering online via our online checkout process. As part of this process you will be given the opportunity to check your order & change if necessary.
•  After placing an order, you will receive an email from us acknowledging that we have received your order.  Please note that this does not mean that your order has been accepted.  Your order constitutes an offer to us to buy a Product.  All orders are subject to acceptance by us, and we will confirm such acceptance to you by sending you an email that confirms that the Product has been dispatched (Dispatch Confirmation). 
•  We may refuse to accept an order:  where goods are not available, where we cannot obtain authorization for your payment, if there has been a pricing or product description error or if you do not meet any eligibility criteria set out in the terms and conditions.
•  To cancel an order, you must inform us in writing. If the Products have been delivered to you, you must also return the Products to us as soon as reasonably practicable. 
•  You will not have any right to cancel a product for the supply of any made-to-measure order or personalised products.

Availability and delivery

The Products which we display cover a selection of designs available through our shop in Jersey CI. Whilst we make every effort to give you an accurate impression of our Products, please note that images may not be to scale and colours shown are as accurate as internet and photographic technology reasonably allows.

Not all stock will be available all the time at the shop.  If you intend to visit the shop, we would advise that you confirm with the shop beforehand to confirm the availability of the Product you are considering purchasing.

Your order will be fulfilled by the delivery date set out in the Dispatch Confirmation or, if no delivery date is specified, then within 30 days of the date of the Dispatch Confirmation, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

Risk and title

The Products will be your responsibility from the time of delivery.

Ownership of the Products will only pass to you when we receive full payment of all sums due in respect of the Products, including delivery charges, where applicable.

Price and payment

The price of the Products and our delivery charges will be as quoted on our site, except in cases of obvious error.

Product prices include VAT, where applicable.  However, if the rate of VAT changes between the date of your order and the date of delivery, where applicable, we will adjust the VAT you pay, unless you have already paid for the Products in full before the change in VAT takes effect.

Product prices and delivery charges are liable to change at any time, but changes will not affect orders in respect of which we have already sent you a Dispatch Confirmation.

Despite our best efforts, some of the Products listed on our site may be incorrectly priced.  We will normally verify prices as part of our dispatch procedures so that, where a Product's correct price is less than our stated price, we will charge the lower amount when dispatching the Product to you.  If a Product’s correct price is higher than the price stated on our site, we will normally, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before dispatching the Product or reject your order and notify you that we are rejecting it.

If the pricing error is obvious and unmistakeable and could have reasonably been recognised by you as an error, we do not have to provide the Products to you at the incorrect (lower) price even where we have provided a dispatch confirmation.

Payment for all online Products can be made by either credit/debit card. If you are paying by credit/debit card, we will obtain pre-authorisation from your issuing bank/credit company to apply the debit against you card and we will charge your credit or debit card at the point of Dispatch Confirmation being sent.  We reserve the right to apply the debit earlier if we deem it appropriate. If the Product is not available, we will credit monies taken back to the card account from which they came.


We warrant to you that any Product purchased from us through our site will, on delivery and for the following 6 months, conform in all material respects with its description, be of satisfactory quality, and be reasonably fit for all the purposes for which products of that kind are commonly supplied.

Notices and communications

All notices given by you to us must be given to Aurum of Jersey at 2 Charing Cross, St Helier, Jersey, JE2 3RP or to Georgie@aurumjewellers.co.uk.  We may give notice to you at either the email or postal address you provide to us when placing an order.

Events outside our control

We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations that is caused by events outside our reasonable control (Force Majeure Event).
A Force Majeure Event includes any act, event, non-happening, omission or accident beyond our reasonable control and includes in particular (without limitation) the following:

(a) Strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action;
(b) Civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war;
(c) Fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster;
(d) Impossibility of the use of railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport;
(e) Impossibility of the use of public or private telecommunications networks;
(f) The acts, decrees, legislation, regulations or restrictions of any government; and
(g) Pandemic or epidemic.

Our right to vary these terms and conditions

We have the right to revise and amend these terms and conditions from time to time.

Please note we cannot be held accountable for delays in delivery including customs clearance.

Ordering & Payment

Add your chosen product to your shopping basket and fill in the order form at the “checkout”. You will be asked for your name and home address (please note to prevent fraud this must be the same address registered with the credit or debit card you use.)  We suggest you print and keep a copy of your order. You will receive a confirmation of your order, contact details and an approximate delivery date. Please alert us immediately if you receive our order confirmation and it differs from your original order.

All products will have VAT applied, unless the goods are shipped to a Channel Islands address.

Security is one of the greatest fears when placing online orders and we as a company have invested in a totally secure and safe site for you to shop. Once you checkout, we encrypt all your credit card details using internet standard encryption technology (SSL).

Postage, Packaging & delivery

Products purchased on the website will be despatched within 7 working days, unless notified of any delay by e-mail. We charge £9.99 for postage and packaging deliveries made to England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

The postage and packaging will be shown at the checkout when you pay for your order.

If your order is placed during a weekend or bank holiday however, this will be processed on the next working day. Working days are Mon- Fri 09.00hrs-17.00hrs. Delivery is made by Royal Mail special delivery next day delivery. This guarantee does not apply if: Royal Mail were unable to deliver the item because there was no-one to sign for the item. When your item is delivered Royal Mail will collect a signature to confirm receipt.  If no one is there to sign for the item Royal mail will leave a card to say they have been and where the item is now being held for your collection.

Returns & Refunds

We endeavour to make sure the jewellery you order arrive to you in perfect condition. In the unlikely event you are unhappy with your purchase, you may return it to us in its original condition. This must be within 14 days of receipt, boxed and packaged and in a re-sellable condition. To return a product please contact us via email online-sales@aurumjewellers.co.uk and we will send you a Return Form. Once the jewellery is received you will be refunded the full invoice amount less cost of delivery. Items returned to us not in re-sellable condition may be returned to you and you may incur additional postage charges. Refunds are processed once we have received and processed the returned jewellery and we will issue a refund in the same form of payment originally used for the purchase within 5 to 7 working days of our receiving your return.

Privacy policy

Aurum of Jersey is committed to protecting your privacy and maintaining the security of any personal information received from you. We strictly adhere to the requirements of the data protection legislation in Jersey and the UK.

When you order goods from us, we need to know your name, address, telephone number, email address and card details to process your order. We use your personal information for payment and billing purposes and for the running of our business only, which may mean contacting you by email or post where you have consented to this.
We follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information to prevent unauthorised access in accordance with Jersey and UK data protection legislation.
In order to process credit/debit card transactions, the bank or card processing agency may require verifying your personal details for the authorisation outside the EEA (European Economic Area).


While we endeavour to ensure that the information on our website is correct, we do not warrant the accuracy and completeness of the material on this website. We may make changes to the material on this website, or to the products and prices described in it, at any time without notice.
